Hey Suzannah! I see you are a MNSSHP party vet! We are going with a group of 10, 3 kids. Trying to get everyone into the experience and looking for advice. Are most folks in costume? Trying to get the adults to go for it, but they think it will only be kid

Oh Katie, your group is in for a surprise! While it's not required to dress in costume of course - this party is the one time adults can dress up in the parks, so a lot of them really go for it! I absolutely love seeing adults dressed up - couples without kids, families that have a whole theme going, it's fabulous!

One of my favorite memories from Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party from a few years back is an entire family dressed as the Malfoys from the Harry Potter series. The dad had a long blond wig on, the son was Draco, there was even a Bellatrix Lestrange in the group (ok, now I'm letting another of my obsessions be known - yes, I love Harry Potter) it was so fun. Of course last year there were a LOT of grown up Alices and I'm sure they'll be popular this year too along with the Johnny Depp version of the Mad Hatter. It's always cool to see how original and creative people can get with their costumes!

My advice is to be sure to pick something that isn't too hot or cumbersome to wear all night. Even though it's in October, it still gets pretty hot and humid down here and you don't want to be miserable inside a giant furry costume of some sort! Of course be sure not to wear anything too scary or inappropriate as it is an event aimed at kids. Outside of that, the sky's the limit to what your group can come up with. Last year my son (10 at the time) was 'too cool' to dress up, so we tied a bit of rope around a box of Trix like a noose and he was a "Cereal Killer" - so even those that don't want to get too elaborate can still take part.

I hope you can convince your group to dress up, but if not, I'm sure everyone will still enjoy all the fun going on around them! Thanks so much for your question, this was fun to answer! ~Suzannah
