hey were super excited to be coming over in 10 weeks for 14 nights staying at AOA we have the dining plan, do i need to tell them at payment stage that im redeeming a dining credit or is it automatic when they scan my magic band?

    Hello Chanine,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. It sounds like you’re in for a wonderful visit to Walt Disney World Resort; we absolutely loved Disney’s Art of Animation Resort when we stayed there last year. My son and I spent hours in the Big Blue Pool, soaking up as much sun and fun as we could!

While you’ll normally get asked whether you whether you would like to use your Disney Dining Plan entitlements to pay for a given meal, when you scan your MagicBand in order to pay for your meals, make sure to tell your server or the Cast Member taking your order that you want to do so. Using your entitlements isn’t automatic, even if your payment is taken via your MagicBand. I would also recommend double-checking your receipt to make sure that your credits were used properly - you’ll see a list of your remaining credits at the bottom of your receipt, as well as a breakdown of how many credits were used for that meal. If you have any questions about your receipt, please make sure to ask the Cast Member at your dining location or visit your Lobby Concierge for more information.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions!

    Have a Magical Day,

    Lynne
