Hey there, so I am going to be staying at the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Hotel, and I would like to do some resort hopping while I am staying there. What would be the best move in doing this and what time does the shuttles start from Disney Springs?

    Hello, Zack.

Welcome back to planDisney! Your vacation is right around the corner, and you will be resort and park hopping in no time. Did you know that as a Guest of the Wyndham Lake Buena Vista, you will get to take advantage of Early Theme Park Entry? The 30-minute head start in the parks is crucial. The temperatures are lower, and the lines are shorter. It is the perfect time to check off a few bucket list rides before grabbing Joffrey’s coffee or a Mickey-shaped waffle.

Bus service between the Disney Resorts Collection hotel and Disney Springs is available during Disney Springs operating hours, which can be found here. Service will continue about one-hour past closing. If you’d like to start your resort hopping earlier, I suggest utilizing your favorite ride-share service.

As for the best way to resort hop, I recommend exploring resorts connected by Disney’s complimentary transportation or within walking distance of each other. Here are a couple of examples:

    • Resorts connected by monorail: Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Contemporary, and Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort
    • Resorts connected by Disney Skyliner: Disney’s Riviera Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, and Disney’s Pop Century Resort
    • Resorts connected by foot: Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Disney’s Beach Club Resort, and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. *You can also walk to the Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resorts!

I hope this helps answer your question, Zack. Let me know if you’d like any dining recommendations for the resorts you plan on visiting. I’ve enjoyed a cocktail or two resort hopping and would be happy to share some tips.

    Cheers,
    Brent
