Hey there, Angela! Thanks for returning to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!
I’m so glad you asked this question because I am SUPER passionate about the shoes I wear to the parks. I have had a pair of Skechers athletic shoes with memory foam insoles for a few years and they have never let me down. The memory foam keeps my feet happy and comfy even after walking for hours at the parks. Plus, my feet stay pretty cool as well. I believe they sell styles with memory foam for both men and women.
When it comes to water attractions, I’ve actually never had a problem with my shoes getting too wet. On
Kali River Rapids, for example, you can place your feet on the center ring so they are elevated a bit. I have found that this usually keeps them pretty dry while I’m riding. Another option would be to bring along a pair of flip flops in your backpack or that you store in a
locker. You can quickly change into these before riding an attraction where your shoes might get wet.
If you are planning to dress slightly fancy for a nice meal at perhaps Le Cellier Steakhouse, Cinderella’s Royal Table, or
California Grill, I suggest wearing a pair of cute and comfortable flats. Lots of my friends like to wear Tieks for this purpose, but I have found that any comfortable flat will do. Sometimes there is still a bit of walking involved to get to a special dinner reservation, so you want to make sure your shoes are up for the task.
If you have any other questions, please stop by again. See ya real soon!
