Hey Moms! Question number 3! Can you tell I'm getting excited? My mom and I have reservations at Pop Century in April 11-19th, we're thinking of upgrading to a moderate. Any suggestions? And do the Port Orleans Resorts share transportation buses? Thanks!!!

    Hi Morgan!
It is so exciting that your trip to Walt Disney World is coming up so soon!  Pop Century is the favorite Value Resort for my son and I, but that being said, I just recently stayed at Port Orleans French Quarter and I absolutely loved it!  I personally think that it would be worth your while and the extra money to upgrade to a Moderate Resort.

Port Orleans French Quarter was a compact, incredible Resort with great rooms, an awesome pool with a waterslide, and a great food court.  All of the buildings in French Quarter were very close to the main lobby which houses the food court, gift shop, and the Disney bus stops.  The rooms have double beds like the Value Resorts do, but in the Moderate Resorts you get a small refrigerator that comes with the room.  Also there is a curtain that separates the bathroom, shower, and sinks from the rest of the room so there can be some privacy. Port Orleans Riverside is more spread out, but offers the same amenities as French Quarter.

The Disney buses generally stop at French Quarter first and then continue on the four Riverside bus stops (North, West, South, and East). Even though there are five bus stops, the transportation times were not any longer than the transportation times for Pop Century.  Pop Century is one of the largest Resorts on Disney property and most guests have to use the bus transportation to get around so the lines are longer and you may have to wait for the next empty bus. Also you can take the water taxi to Downtown Disney from Port Orleans Riverside and French Quarter.

I hope that you and your mom have a magical time in Walt Disney World on your next trip!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
