    Hey, I have purchased tickets and hoping to book fast passes. I have a email confirmation but when I try and link the tickets by entering the ticket confirmation number from my email confirmation it says it has already been linked to an account?

    Hey, howdy, hey, Lucy! 

    Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! You’ve got a friend in me to help you plan your Disney Parks vacation. It looks like we’ve got your question filed under the Disneyland Resort category here. So our first step is to make sure we are on the same page for which coast we are dealing with. That’s because Disney FASTPASS at Disneyland Resort in Southern California works a little differently than FastPass+ at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida.

    If you happened to be planning a Walt Disney World Resort vacation (I know I am!) then you may be interested in an answer by my fellow panelist Allyn to a similar question. Or you may wish to take a moment to return to the Disney Parks Moms Panel to submit a Walt Disney World question.

    For now, let’s proceed with the Disneyland Resort approach here. When purchasing theme park tickets directly from the Disneyland Resort website, you won’t see them show up on the website itself. But the nice thing about those direct-from-Disney ticket purchases is that your tickets will usually already be linked to your account when you proceed to log on to the same account in the Disneyland app. Within the Disneyland app, you can find your tickets in the “My Tickets” section from the home screen. Or, from the menu, represented by three short horizontal lines, you may find the “Tickets and Passes” section. 

    Disney eTickets linked to your account in the Disneyland app may be used for admission into the theme parks. After the first entrance into the parks, the eTickets are converted to regular tickets in the app and printed copies of the tickets are also provided at the entrance turnstiles. After that, either the printed tickets or the tickets in the app may be used for readmission to the parks throughout the period of validity of the tickets.

    To make Disney FASTPASS selections at the Disneyland Resort, take your printed tickets to the FASTPASS distribution point for an attraction you wish to experience. Or, if you have Disney MaxPass added to your tickets, you can make FASTPASS selections from the convenience of the Disneyland app. Just note that FASTPASS selections at the Disneyland Resort may only be made on the same day as your visit, after entering one of the parks. This is one difference from FastPass+ at Walt Disney World, where up to three advanced FastPass+ selections may be made at a single park for each day of your tickets.

    Tony’s Tip: Disney MaxPass at the Disneyland Resort isn’t just for making Disney FASTPASS selections. MaxPass also includes complimentary downloads of all your Disney PhotoPass photos, including attraction photos!
