Hey! So we are planning a 6 day stay and we want to spend 5 days in the big parks and 1 day at a Disney water park. It appears the most cost effective option is to get 5 day park hopper plus tickets and use the water park admission on its own day?

    Hi Katie,

Can you believe that this time next month, you'll be AT "The Most Magical Place on Earth" soaking up all kinds of magic and fun!? SO exciting!

I just looked at the different options for you, and yes, while prices are always subject to change, it looks like the best option for you is to buy a 5-day Park Hopper Plus Option ticket, which will allow you to visit the theme parks on five different days and hop around between them however you'd please PLUS you'll receive five visits to extra fun things like a Disney water park, Disney miniature golf course (prior to 4:00 p.m.), Disney's Oak Trail Golf Course, or the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex. You'll be able to enjoy those extra experiences whenever you'd like, so if you'd like to hit a water park or two on your non theme-park day, you'll be able to, or if you'd even like to switch gears and visit a water park for a few hours in the afternoon after playing in the theme parks during the morning, you can do that, too. My family loves both Disney's Blizzard Beach Water Park and Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park, so if you have the chance to do both, you'll have the tickets already, and I think you'd really have a splashing great time!

If you decide to go this route, one tip I have for you is to check the start date of your ticket. Did you know that it doesn't have to be the day that you arrive? When I looked at tickets for your vacation date, it looks like you could save some money if you choose the day before you're scheduled to arrive as your start date. Just be sure to double check the expiration date and make sure your tickets will be valid for the entire length of your stay!

One other ticket option that you might want to consider is the limited-time Summer One World Ticket offer. While you would only be able to visit each of the four theme parks once as well as each water park once, it is a great deal on a great ticket.

Whatever ticket you decide, once it's purchased and linked to your My Disney Experience account, you'll be able to make your FastPass+ selections 30 days in advance. The FastPass+ service is complimentary and allows you to skip the standby lines on select attractions and experiences, and the sooner you make your selections, the more availability you'll find. It's definitely a wonderful time saver!

Thanks so much for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Katie, and please feel free to bring us any more questions you may have as you're planning your trip. I hope that you have a truly magical vacation this summer!
