Hey Moms!! Planning on bringing my family in Mar/Apr 2016. 2 adults 3 kids 6,9,13. Best resort to stay at during those times? Would we be better staying off site? Only wanting to stay on site for magic bands. HELP!!!! I'm on a tight budget!!

Hi Courtney! From one Florida girl to another, welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

A visit to the Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect way to welcome Spring. Since Easter falls in late March next year, the best time to visit would probably be mid- to late-April. The spring breakers will be long gone, and Easter holiday travelers will be back to their normal routine.

Since you're wisely watching those vacation dollars, you might consider a Resort hotel in the Value category. My family is just back from a stay at Disney's All-Star Sports Resort, and we had a great time. All of the Value resorts have amenities like pools, playgrounds and food courts, plus each has its own special offerings. At All-Star Sports, my husband and son had a blast playing football on the huge field in the Touchdown courtyard.

If your research leads you to determine that off-site is the way to go, you can still use MagicBands during your visit. You can buy them at several shops in the Theme Parks, or order your MagicBands online at the Disney Store. Then, just link them to your tickets in your My Disney Experience account and use them for Theme Park admission and FastPass+ attractions. Fun and functional!

To help you get the most out of your vacation, my fellow Disney Moms have lots of ideas for doing Disney on a budget right here on our website. I hope this helps in your planning, Courtney, and please come see us again if you have any more questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kathy, Florida

I've lived my whole life just an hour's drive from Walt Disney World, so I've been a regular visitor for as long as I can remember. Even after all these years and so many visits, I love that there's still so much to discover! Now that I'm a mom myself, seeing my favorite place through my son's eyes has given me a whole new perspective that I enjoy sharing with other parents of young children. Learn More About Kathy
