Hi Angela!
Getting ready for a family vacation on the
Disney Dream? Oh boy, I’ll bet you cannot wait! Disney Cruise Line has so much going for it, but one of the things I am always most impressed with is the variety of activities and entertainment geared toward kids. Captain Mickey has thought of everything for kids from toddlers to teens, including Youth Clubs and
splash zones and pools that are sure to make them smile and laugh.
So much information about the experiences onboard the Disney Dream can be found on the
Experience Updates page. Sorry to have to tell you this, but according to the
“On the Ship: Know Before You Go” information online, all
Chill Spa treatments will be temporarily unavailable. I hate that since your son was looking forward to this experience after your previous cruise was cancelled.
But here’s the good news: there’s
so much onboard for teens and tweens that they absolutely thrive! I’d say it’s in large part to the independence they can have in exploring the ship. It could also be because of those awesome
Youth Clubs, both with the entertainment options and activities and in meeting other teens and tweens. Just a heads up: while reservations are required for kids ages 3-12 participating in Disney’s Oceaneer Club and Disney’s Oceaneer Lab, no reservations are required for Vibe or Edge. So your teen can come and go as he pleases from
Vibe, the teen club.
Angela, please cruise back over to planDisney if you think of other questions. We love to talk about Disney cruising and are happy to share our tips to make your vacation an absolute DREAM!
Happy Sailing!
Sherry
