Hey! My parents are giving our family a trip to Disney for Christmas. My father is retired from the military and was planning to buy the military tickets. I don't think he can though, unless he plans on going with us, correct?

Hi Alyson! Disney does quite a bit for our military, retired and active. They do offer a great discount on military tickets for their Walt Disney World parks.

Six discounted Military Tickets can be bought by the eligible service member at one time. These tickets must be activated at a ticket booth of one of the four parks once you arrive at Walt Disney World. The military person must have proof of eligibility and they will likely ask for identification of the other members of the party with the exception of children. So.....it sounds like you need to convince mom and dad to come along on a wonderful Disney vacation! He will need to be there to activate them for you. Start convincing them about all the fun they can and will have. My mother's last trip was when she was 90 years old and she would have gone back for many more years to come. It was just as magical for her as it was for her great grandchildren!
