Hey Panel Planning Families 1st trp toWDW in Sept 2012, and was trying to decide where to stay; Fort W lodge or Cont? Want to view Electrical Water Pageant and Book Pirates & Pals. Can Water Pageant be viewed from FWL? Is P & P open to all resort

    Hi Jerre!

I'm so excited to hear about your first trip to Walt Disney World. Yes, you can view the Electrical Water Pageant from the beach at the Wilderness Lodge. Only some rooms have a good view though. I'd like to add that I just returned from a magical Disney vacation in which my family enjoyed Pirates and Pals! This fireworks cruise will also give you an up close viewing of the Electrical Water Pageant (in addition to lots of fun that includes pirates, snacks, beverages, and character greetings!). It was one of our fave Disney activities this past trip!

Pirates and Pals is open to all resort guests. Just be sure to make your reservation as soon as dates/times are released (usually about 60-90 days in advance).

Contemporary Resort can't be beat for close proximity to the Magic Kingdom, however the Wilderness Lodge is a beautiful resort that would be extremely memorable!
