Hey moms panel ! Going to WDW Aug 16th- 20th. It will be my 4year old son, my mom (Me Me), and I we are flying in from STL. How long does it usually take from arrival to get to Pop Century. We have ADRs at the Sci Fi dine- in I dont want to rush ourselves?

    Hi Alysha,

Sounds like a fantastic time. How great that you will be sharing Disney memories with three generations.

It sounds like you will be arriving into Orlando International Airport and using Magical Express to transport you from the airport to your resort. Typically I plan for approximately 90 minutes to get from the airport to the resort. The actual Magical Express ride is just about thirty minutes, but you need to allow for time to get from your gate to the shuttle. You will need to take a few minutes to check in at the Magical Express counter and there is often a slight wait for a shuttle to board and leave. Many of the shuttles make a few stops at various Disney resorts and you may not be the first stop, so that will add a few minutes to your ride.

Once at the resort, be sure to allow for time to check in and if your room is ready, freshen up or drop off your bags (if Magical Express is not bringing them for you later). Once you are checked in and ready for some fun, you will need to wait for a Disney bus, ride to the park, and go through security and the turnstiles. In all, since I don't like to be rushed, I usually do not make any dining reservations until three to four hours after we land. While it often takes much less time, this allows for any unexpected delays or even any stops we decide to make along our way.

    Have a great time!
