Hey Panel, I'm back! Heading to WDW in May. What are the wristbands and how does it work?

Hi John! The new "bracelets" are a buzz right now. The new technology that is going to be taking place throughout all Disney resorts will happen starting in the next few months. By May you might find this at your resort or it might still be in testing.

Each guest will receive a wristband instead of a key card. This wrist band will also be your ticket to the theme parks and just about everything else from dining to recreation. All members of your family will wear one throughout your stay including the children. There isn't a lot more that they are sharing yet as it hasn't gone out for testing but it will arrive sooner or later to all guests. The first resorts to test will be the Beach Club, Beach Club Villas, and the Boardwalk.

We are all anxious to see how it is going to work. Along with this you will be pre planning for things such as Fast Passes in the parks. That has been under testing with guests as I have done this myself in the last month. Lots of changes coming up but Disney will be trying to make the transitions as smooth as possible. I'm not great with change....been coming since opening but I have an open mind and can't wait to see the future with this technology!
