Thank you for sending in such a good question about the new premium
MagicBands. These have proved to be extremely popular! Unfortunately, once you have submitted your order, if it contains at least one premium MagicBand, there is no option to return and amend your order. My recent personal experience of this is once you have placed your order for these - even if it's only for one member of your party - you cannot go back and edit this order. Using
My Disney Experience, I ordered a premium MagicBand for myself, but not for the rest of my family, and I instantly received an email to say "Your MagicBand package will be waiting for you at your Disney Resort hotel." (I am from the UK too, and International Guests do not have their MagicBand shipped to their home address.) So, as your complimentary plain-coloured MagicBand was part of the premium order you do not have the option to amend this, even though you would still be within the ordering window of up to 11 days prior to your expected arrival date.
There is an opportunity to purchase a premium MagicBand (at full price) as a wide choice of MagicBands, including limited editions, is available for purchase at select stores around the theme parks (at
Emporium on Main Street U.S.A. at Magic Kingdom Park, Mouse Gear at Epcot and
World of Disney at Disney Springs, to name a few). You can also order them online from
shopDisney. It's worth having a look, as I have found some lovely designs that I have added to my collection, and am continuing to use during my holidays at Walt Disney World.
