Hey Nimmy T.! I’m a single lady and I do not have kids. I want to plan a trip with some of my friends. I haven’t been to Disney World in about 20 years! What activities would you recommend for a group of adults rediscovering Disney World?

    Hey Kimberly!

Welcome to planDisney and welcome back to the magic of Walt Disney World! It may not seem obvious but Walt Disney World is not just for kids! It's for those who love thrills, yummy snacks, and capturing the kid buried deep inside. In the last 20 years, a lot has changed in Walt Disney World. Each Park has new attractions, shows, and even some new lands that are pretty amazing.

Magic Kingdom Park is my favorite Park as an adult. I just love the classic rides like Peter Pan's Flight which have you seated on a pirate ship that lifts you off into the air over London and off to Neverland. My heart remembers the magic I believed in my youth and the belief that thinking happy thoughts is the same as having wings! If you are into thrills then I would check out TRON Lightcycle / Run presented by Enterprise which just opened this year! Don't forget Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, and Space Mountain for incredibly themed roller coasters.

EPCOT is perfect for adults. It has various neighborhoods that touch on the future, natural wonders, and different countries around the World. World Showcase is one of my favorite spaces in Walt Disney World with all the various countries represented. You can enjoy churros with chocolate sauce in the Mexico Pavilion, kakigōri at the Japan Pavilion, Beer-battered Fish and Chips with classic Irish Pale Lager in the United Kingdom with a finishing treat of poutine near the Canada Pavilion. It sounds backward to end with a savory dish but I am of the school of thought that one must start in Mexico and work their way around. Also, please make sure you experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind which reverse launches you into space and then spins you around as you battle a Celestial. Trust me when I say this is not to be missed.

Disney's Hollywood Studios has an amazing world for Star Wars fans with Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge which is a land set in a galaxy far, far away. The two attractions in this area are so immersive that you may doubt reality. Grab a delicious libation at Oga's Cantina where rebels conduct their business. Finish the day of exploration by watching what I consider to be the best nighttime spectacular on the property- Fantasmic! Two words to convince you: Seats and Dragon.

Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is probably very new to you and no it's not just a zoo. Yes, there is an amazing open-air Kilimanjaro Safaris excursion where you will get close to wild animals and some amazing thrill rides like Avatar Flight of Passage, Expedition Everest- Legend of the Forbidden Mountain, and DINOSAUR.  One of the best adult spots in this Park is Nomad Lounge where you can sip some adult beverages with a relaxing view.

Consider enhancing your trip with some exciting Enchanted Extras Collection experiences like Savor the Savanna or a fireworks cruise. The possibilities for fun are endless!

Have yourself a wonderful adventure and Happy Planning!
