Greetings!  Thanks for asking your question here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel.  I'm shocked that some of my favorite places aren't on your list....yet!

'Ohana for dinner at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort is my family's favorite meal at Walt Disney World, and I have a very picky 7 year old.  The meal starts off with yummy bread, pork dumplings and chicken wings which my daughter cannot get enough of during our meal.  Then you feast on all-you-care-to-enjoy shrimp, pork and steak which is all cooked in the middle of the restaurant on wood fire grill.  You also get side items like Asian style noodles and a broccoli dish.  The meal ends with the best bread pudding and bananas foster sauce I've ever had.  While this is not a character meal, there is dining room entertainment like hula dancing, coconut races for the kids and even the limbo.  This meal is a lot of fun and has never disappointed us.  If you time your meal just right (about an hour before the nighttime fireworks over Magic Kingdom) and request a window table, you will have a great view of the show.  The restaurant even dims the lights and pipes in the music - it's a wonderful end to a wonderful day at Walt Disney World.

For breakfast, we love eating at Tusker House which is a character meal at Disney's Animal Kingdom. The food is a great mix between your traditional breakfast fare and some really great African inspired dishes.  It's one of the most unique spreads on Walt Disney World property for breakfast.  Plus, spending time with Donald, Goofy, Mickey Mouse and Daisy Duck is just so much fun.  We love getting a reservation before Animal Kingdom officially opens and snap some really great pictures of an almost empty park.  Even though this is a buffet style character meal, it has a totally different vibe than Chef Mickey's so you might really enjoy it.

I hope this gives you a few more ideas. Happy planning!

Meet the Panelist: Jackie, North Carolina

I love all things Walt Disney World.  In fact, since becoming Annual Passholders, my family of 3 is always hopping in the car for a quick trip to visit with Mickey Mouse!  I've been known to make the 8 hour each way drive to Walt Disney World (in one day!) to indulge in a Mickey Waffle or enjoy a sunny day at Disney's Typhoon Lagoon Water Park.  I may have a small family, but we are always up for some BIG fun at the Walt Disney World Resort.   Learn More About Jackie
