    Hey moms!We are attending our 1st halloween party and celebrating my moms birthday in early Oct,how can we make it a spooktacular celebration for her?Her fav character is Malificent and she has requested to do a 9am-closing MK park day, Thank you so much X

    Hi Amelia,
    Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my family's favorite events at Walt Disney World. The party is a special event that requires an additional ticket and is from 7 pm to Midnight at the Magic Kingdom.  You will be able to stay in the Magic Kingdom all day then can get a wristband for the Halloween Party at the entrance.  You will get to Trick-Or-Treat in the park and are encouraged to wear costumes.  Some of the characters are in costume as well.  There is a special "Boo to You" Parade where Maleficent is in the parade as a dragon.  Character greetings are throughout the park, and although I have never seen Maleficent, I would check the Times Guide Map and can ask a Cast Member on the night of your party because you never know when she might make an appearance.  There also is HalloWishes, the Halloween fireworks that are just fantastic!   Special mechanize is available only on nights of the Not-So-Scary Party, and this would be a wonderful gift for your mother!  I would make sure to stop at Guest Relations on the day of your Mother's birthday and get a "Happy Birthday" button so that other Cast Members and guests can help her celebrate.  I would make an Advanced Dining Reservation at her favorite restaurant and mention it is her birthday for a special dessert.  I hope you have a magical vacation, Amelia, and enjoy Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party!  Happy Birthday to your Mother from all of us on the Moms Panel.
