Hey Moms: I see some questions about a "Backstage Magic Tour" that is approximately 7 hours....What is this and what is the cost?? Thanks for the info....

    Hi Lisa,

The Backstage Magic tour is an incredible tour that takes you behind the scenes at Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and the Magic Kingdom.  All guests must be 16 years old or older.

I've been on this tour and I thought it was awesome.  Some of the highlights:  We went behind the stage at the American Pavilion in Epcot and saw how that attraction works; we also spent some time in the costuming department at Epcot.  We saw how the ride vehicles work in the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror in the Studios, and we went into the legendary underground Utilidors at the Magic Kingdom.  We also saw how the laundry gets done at Walt Disney World.  It was amazing -- bags of laundry were being carried "in the air" like the scene with all of the closet doors in the Disney / Pixar film "Monsters, Inc."

On my tour, we had lunch at the Whispering Canyon Cafe in the Wilderness Lodge.

I highly recommend this tour and the Keys to the Kingdom tour if you want to get a peak at how some of the magic is accomplished at Walt Disney World.  By the way, the Keys to the Kingdom tour is much shorter and a lot less expensive - It just covers the Magic Kingdom; however, it's a good back stage tour to start off with to see if you find going back stage enjoyable.  Call (407) WDW-TOUR for more information and the latest prices.  Be sure to ask about an Annual Pass, Disney Vacation Club, AAA, or Disney Visa discount if applicable.

Write back if you have any more questions!
