Hey Mama's! So I plan on buying Annual Passes for my hubby, stepson (3 1/2) and myself, we are doing the platinum plus? We are florida residents and I was just curious if it would be easier and more cost effective to buy our passes at the gate?

    Hi Valerie,

Welcome to the Disney passholder family! I'm a Florida resident, too, and have been a passholder for almost 20 years. I usually find it easiest to purchase or renew my annual passes online and to take advantage of the interest-free monthly payment plan that is available for those of us who live in the Sunshine State.

You will still need to visit a ticket window or Guest Relations location to show ID and activate your pass, but if everything is already purchased online and linked to your My Disney Experience account, the activation should take moments.

Your pass year begins the day you activate and use the pass, not the day you purchase so there's no need to worry about wasting valuable time on your pass if you purchase online in advance.

Make sure you check out all the benefits of being a passholder, too, Valerie, so that you take full advantage of all the discounts and special offers that come with an annual pass.

Thanks for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Please stop by often during your year of Walt Disney World fun if you have any other questions. We're happy to help. Enjoy!
