Hey, I just love this panel I have two ?s. We will be there Dec.17-Dec. 22,2010 how bad can we expect the crowd levels to be? Also, Stayin at POR can anyone tell me what this resort is like? I have read some really bad reviews on the cleanliness?

This seems to be a popular question Misty!  I have just answered several concerning park crowds during this time of year!

I wish I had a crystal ball to determine what weeks and days the parks will be the least crowded as my own family will be there during this time period.  However, I can't wait to be a part of all the holiday celebrations no matter how many other guests will join me.

In the past December was a good month to visit up until right before Christmas.  The parade filming early in the month became a very popular and busy weekend and now it seems all weekends have followed in that trend. The second weekend of the month appears to be just as busy with rooms hard to find at any resort. I will be cautiously optimistic that we both will find the parks easily accessible and attraction lines short!

Port Orleans has a great reputation although I find that most will choose French Quarter over Riverside. It is smaller and the guests enjoy the decor and themeing at this section.  Cleanliness is a key when choosing a resort or any destination.  Disney has prided itself with that in mind for many years.  I too have noticed that things can sometime slip through but with a call to the housekeeping office I can have any situation quickly fixed.  Sometimes I wonder how they do what they do.....these resort rooms are used almost nightly 365 days of the year.  Families with kids who jump and race around the rooms bumping into furniture takes its toll on the room. At almost any given time at least one Disney resort will be going through a refurbishment to refresh the guest rooms and common areas. Can problems exist? Absolutely, but like I said when you find a situation please speak up and kindly ask if they can fix the issue in a speedy fashion.
