Hey Mom's, love your panel!! When riding the monorail from Epcot to the Contemporary about how much time should we allow since we will have to transfer rails at the TTC? Thanks so much for all of your help.

    Hi Michele!

One of my favorite modes of Walt Disney World Transportation is the Monorail!  I just love the Monorail ride from the Ticket and Transportation Center to Epcot and back.  My personal experience is that you need to budget a little more travel time than you think because sometimes you have to wait for a Monorail to arrive at the station.  I would recommend at least 1 hour to make the Monorail journey from Epcot to the Contemporary.  Sometimes if the stars align and everything falls right in place, you may be able to take this trip in 30 minutes, but an hour is safe time range to plan for.  Here are some of the factors that go into my recommendation:

    1. Epcot is a large park and it will take some time to walk to the Monorail Station which is just outside the front gates of Epcot

    2. You may have to wait for a Monorail to arrive at the Epcot Monorail Station

    3. You have to disembark the Monorail at the Ticket and Transportation Center to walk to the Resort Monorail which can take 5 to 10 minutes depending on how fast you walk

    4. You may have to wait for the Resort Monorail to arrive at the Ticket and Transportation Center Station

    5.  The Resort Monorail will make three stops before it stops at the Contemporary Resort (it stops at the Polynesian, the Grand Floridian Resort and Spa, and the Magic Kingdom before it stops at the Contemporary)

All that being sad, a Monorail ride from Epcot to the Contemporary is a wonderful way to travel around "the World"!

Thanks for your Moms Panel support and I hope that you have a magical Monorail ride on your next trip to Walt Disney World!

    Keep Dreaming Big!
