Hey :) I am looking at planning our first trip to Disneyland California for May 2023. I was wondering when hotels will be released to book for then? Thanks Ash

Hi there, Ashley! Welcome back to planDisney! Do I see that this will be your first trip to the Disneyland Resort?! There will be so many familiar sights and sounds from your days spent at the Walt Disney World Resort, but also so much to discover! You will be swept away with the nostalgia wrapped up in this original park from the unique opening day attractions to just knowing you are literally walking in Walt's footsteps. I get those pixie-dusted chills just thinking about it every time I step onto the very first Main Street, U.S.A.!

A Disneyland Resort Vacation Package is such a great way to experience the Happiest Place on Earth! You will love staying in the magic, waking up to Mickey waffles, and strolling back to your hotel after a full Disneyland day humming those Disney tunes. Typically, vacation packages are released in late summer the year prior, so now is a great time to perk up your EARS! I would keep your eyes peeled on the Disney Parks Blog and the @DISNEYLAND Instagram account for news!

Be sure to take a moment to soak in all the magic and nostalgia and all that is unique to Disneyland. I love exploring New Orleans Square before dining at Blue Bayou Restaurant where you can watch your fellow Guests sail away on their Pirates of the Caribbean adventure! Make time to experience opening day attractions (just as Walt did!) from the Storybook Land Canal Boats to the original "it's a small world" with that incredible Mary Blair facade to the Matterhorn Bobsleds (look out for that Yeti!) to Mr. Toad's Wild Ride. Over at Disney California Adventure Park, you can spin through Radiator Springs Racers, dine at the Pixar-inspired Lamplight Lounge, mix and mingle with some favorite Avengers, and even become Spider-man himself on WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure. In the evening, experience Disney storytelling like you have never seen it before at World of Color

As a Guest of a Disneyland Resort Hotel, you'll be able to take advantage of Early Entry 30 minutes ahead of park opening, along with preferred dining access and next-day delivery for some of those in-park purchases. And of course, you'll be experiencing the magic 24 hours a day. You can't get better than that!

Ashley, I know you are in for some forever memory-making! If you have any more questions, you know where to find us here at planDisney!

    Never stop dreaming!
