Hey ladies! im going in a cruise next year (january) and what kind of clothes i need to no luok getto.

    Hi, Zoraida!

You are in luck. Disney Cruise Line welcomes all kinds of tasteful clothing, from crops, capris, jeans and trousers to skirts, cotton dresses, evening wear, and pirate hats! The name of the style game is "Cruise Casual".

There is no reason to dress up on a Disney cruise, unless you'd like to. Most women tend to be fairly relaxed during the day, choosing to step it up a bit for nighttime adventures, especially if the nightclubs are in the plan. That's when the skinny trousers and stiletto boots have got to come out to play!

One night aboard each cruise is designated as "formal optional". If you want to pull out your sequins and your bling, that's the night to let it roll. Or, like me, you can dress up a smidge -- but leave the taffeta in the closet. Bear in mind that as part of this "Cruise Casual" policy, Disney Cruise Line asks that Guests do not wear tank tops, shorts, or swimwear in the dining rooms; jeans are fine, however.

Really, the yardstick here is that Disney cruises definitely cater to families, so children are, with a few exceptions, often about. So when it's time to pack, use the children as your guide, and if you think whatever you are contemplating might be racy or over-the-top for a little one, consider swapping it out. Two-piece bathing suits are welcome, for example; skimpy bikinis are probably not the most appropriate choice.

Think polos, tee shirts, capri pants, shorts, casual dresses for day, dressy clothes for the evening meal, if you wish, and club attire for the 18+ hotspots.

    Have a great time!

    See you later, celebrator,
    -Deborah B.
