    Hey ladies and gents! Planning first WDW vacation. We are wanting to go in the first half of 2012 and stay in the Bay Lake Tower resort. Any recommendations on a month when the rates are down and the park is not so croweded??

    Hi Candice:

    Congrats on your first vacation. Bay Lake Tower is a wonderful Resort.

    Rates and crowds are typically lower when schools are in session. So if you are planning on vacationing during the first half of the year, that typically means that January or February should be your best bets, particularly January. Early May also may present fewer crowds. If you book in January, the first weekend may have higher crowds due to the Disney World Marathon weekend. Also, Martin Luther King Holiday may attract higher crowds for a few days. So, you may want to plan around those two weekends.
