Hey I’m trying to plan my family’s first WDW vacation and I don’t know where to start we are a large family with 5 adults and 5 kids ages12 to 17 any advice

    Hi there, Star!

I'm so happy to hEAR you're wanting to plan your family's very first Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You're about to embark on a magical journey where you'll be making memories to last a lifetime. I'm happy to give you several options when it comes to planning your upcoming Disney getaway.

First, you can choose to build your own vacation package using the easy-to-navigate Walt Disney World Resort website. You'll be able to choose lodging, tickets, add dining reservations, and more, to create your family's Disney vacation. You can use the Chat feature in the Help section of the website if you'd like a Cast Member to answer questions to help guide you through the planning process. While taking the reins with your planning is always an option, it's probably not my first choice for Guests planning their very first visit.

Next, Guests can call Walt Disney World directly and speak with a Cast Member that can walk them through putting a vacation package together. If you have the time to devote to longer-than-usual wait times when calling, this is an option to consider. To reach a Cast Member for assistance with planning your vacation, call (407) 939-1936.

My recommendation, especially for a first-time Guest, is to reach out to an Authorized Disney Vacation Planner. These Disney-trained travel specialists can help you build your Walt Disney World vacation from start to finish, and their expertise comes at no extra cost to you. That's right - if you use one of these pixie-dusted professionals to help plan your trip, it doesn't cost a penny more than if you book it yourself on the Walt Disney World website. An Authorized Disney Vacation Planner can help you select the best Disney Resorts Collection hotel for your travel party, purchase Theme Park Tickets, secure Disney Park Pass reservations, make Advance Dining Reservations, and handle any other Disney vacation planning needs you may have, all while monitoring your reservation for any discounted rates that could save you money. My personal Disney planner is actually at Walt Disney World right now, always staying in the know from her personal experiences, and also from workshops and training sessions that come directly from Disney. The easiest way to locate one of these Disney magic makers is to ask for recommendations from friends and family or with a quick internet search of "Authorized Disney Vacation Planners near me".

I hope this helps, and you'll soon be making plans for a practically perfect Walt Disney World Resort vacation for your family. Please come back and visit us here at planDisney for tips and advice we've picked up from our own Walt Disney World vacations to help add a bit of extra magic to yours!
    Have a magical day!
