Hi, there!
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Zahra. I'm so glad you stopped by!
As a mom of three, I completely sympathize with those back pains you're experiencing. Pregnancy is certainly a joy, but I also found it to be quite uncomfortable! It's my pleasure to give you a few tips to keep you as comfortable as possible during your upcoming visit to the Walt Disney World Resort.
Exploring the theme parks requires a lot of walking, and it may be too much for your feet and back. A simple solution is to
rent an ECV. You can rent an ECV from any of the four theme parks and Disney Springs!
I also recommend touring the theme parks with a well-crafted plan in mind. I minimize walking for my little ones by creating a touring plan that is based on "lands" rather than attractions. For example, we usually spend at least two days in Magic Kingdom Park. On the first day, we'll focus on Fantasyland, Liberty Square, and Frontierland. On the second day, we'll visit attractions in Adventureland and Tomorrowland. By intentionally experiencing attractions and shows within close proximity of one another, we don't find ourselves needlessly walking.
You'll also want to be sure to take advantage of
FastPass+. This convenient service not only minimizes your wait time for popular attractions, but also maximizes the magic you can experience in the theme parks!
Be sure to schedule plenty of breaks for yourself. I always recommend Guests return to their Disney Resort hotel in the afternoon for some rest and relaxation before heading back to the theme parks in the evening. When I was pregnant, I always felt the most comfortable while in a pool. An afternoon dip in your Disney Resort hotel pool may ease your back pain too! Don't forget to stay well-hydrated. Did you know that you can request a complimentary cup of ice water from most Quick-Service dining locations?
My last piece of advice is to schedule an appointment at
Senses - A Disney Spa and Salon at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort. This luxurious spa offers an Expectant Mother Massage. What a treat!
I hope this was helpful, Zahra. Please let me know if you have any other questions about your Walt Disney World Resort vacation!
