Hey Moms! Im heading to Disney in Oct this year, we arn't staying on site and arn't able to get the dining plan. Our hotel covers a free breakfast daily. I was wondering how much I should put aside for food for myself for 5 days (lunch and dinner only)?

    Hi Richard,

Thank you for visiting us at the Disney Parks Moms Panel and we're happy to help you place the last minute details on your Walt Disney World vacation.

When setting a dining budget, I'd highly recommend checking out the independent site allears.net. From the home page, click "Walt Disney World," then "Dining," and finally, "Menus." Not only are all menus listed, but relatively current prices, too. I'd recommend dining at quick-service locations for lunch and perhaps book a few table-service locations for dinner. Some travelers find quick-service locations to be perfectly suitable for lunch and dinner if they'd prefer to spend their time enjoying the Parks. It really will depend on your preferences. Just be sure to book your table-service locations now if traveling in October. Guests will book the most popular dining locations as early as 180-days in advance.

You can set Advanced Dining Reservations online by clicking the provided link, or by calling Disney Dining at 407-939-3463, 407-WDW-DINE.

P.S. Don't forget to check out Epcot's Food & Wine Festival as a dining option, too!

Wishing you a magical vacation, Richard, and please visit us again with your planning questions.
