Hey! I'm bringing a 7yo boy and 5yo girl next year to Disney. Can't decide between AOA or Coronado. I'm afraid the little mermaid room is a little girly for my lil man who is all boy. Thoughts??

    Hi Robin!

Thanks for sending the Disney Parks Moms Panel another question!  Choosing a Walt Disney a world Resort is always the toughest decision for my family and I, they are all totally different and all have such amazing theming and amenities!  Choosing between Disney's Art of Animation Resort and Disney's Coronado Springs Resort is a tough choice.  Keep in mind that Disney's Art of Animation Resort is a Value Resort while Disney's Coronado Springs a Resort is a Moderate Resort, so there will be a difference in the amenities offered at each resort reflecting it's rating.  For example, Disney's Coronado Springs Resort offers a Table a Service Dining Location as well as Pepper Market, giving guest several options for dining.  I find the grounds are quite expansive, however beautiful to look at, so the walk to our Resort Room is always enjoyable.

I definitely think that the theming in the Little Mermaid Standard Rooms at Disney's Art of Animation Resort would be fine for little boys.  I stayed at Disney's Art of Animation Resort, in a standard Little Mermaid Room  last year and I found it to be more geared toward the Under the Sea theme as opposed to Princess Ariel.  Even the buildings are creatively decorated with gadgets and gizmos to feel like guests are "Part of Their World".  The landscape of Flavors offers great dining and I do prefer the buses at this resort compared to Disney's Coronado Springs Resort.  The Big Blue Pool is absolutely incredible as well!

I hope this helps you to make a decision Robin.  If you have any other questions as you continue to plan please let me know, I would be more than happy to help.
