Hey, I'll be visiting WDW the week of Thanksgiving with my 21 month old. Is there specific things you all recommend for us to do with her? Also, are there things we can do for 1st time visitors? Thanks!

    Hi Mitch!

Your upcoming visit sounds practically perfect.  A first-time Walt Disney World vacation, over the holidays, with your little princess? A magical trifecta for sure!

"Disney Firsts" are always exciting and even though I have been to the resort numerous times, I still find firsts to discover and experience on every trip.  One of my favorites things to do at the beginning of each visit is to stop by The Chapeau, on Main Street, U.S.A., and pick out a new Disney hat.  While on Main Street, U.S.A., you can also visit a place I took each of my kiddos on their first visits: the Harmony Barber Shop offers "First Haircuts" and it is quite a magical experience.  You'll get a certificate, a set of commemorative Mickey Ears and their little locks in a satchel.  It is a wonderful, sentimental and affordable memory you will cherish forever.  I suggest making an appointment before your visit as they can book up.

For more "Disney Firsts" and other wonderful resources for visiting with your daughter, visit the Planning for Pre-School Kids & Little Ones Page of the Walt Disney World website. We are also here to help with suggestions, recommendations and assisting you in planning, so please let us know if there is anything else we can help you with.  Have a wonderful vacation with your little princess!

    Magical Wishes,

Hi-ya, Pals! I'm Lauren, a wife and mother of three who's enjoyed many special occasions at Walt Disney World Resort with my family and friends. From graduations to birthdays, and even our Fairy Tale Honeymoon we’ve loved celebrating at the most Magical Place on Earth. I now have pre-teens who check wait times in the My Disney Experience App just for fun, so I look for any excuse to return "home" often and would love to help you plan a little extra Pixie Dust for your next magical adventure.
