Hey Moms! You have helped me so much with planning our vacation. Our trip is in October, from the 15-19. I have heard a lot about the online check in, but I'm not sure what to do. Our arrival time shouldn't be very busy. Is this necessary, or not?

    Hi Katie,

I just did online check in for the first time this past week.  We stayed at the Animal Kingdom Lodge.  It wasn't a particularly busy time, and the regular check-in lines weren't long.  However, online check-in still moves much quicker.

We were traveling with another couple.  When we arrived at the resort, there was no one in the online check-in line.  My friend went first.  Within seconds, another cast member had been called over to assist my husband and I.  Our packets and room keys were handed to us, and we were quickly sent on our way.  Super easy!

So, is online check-in necessary?  No, I don't think so.  Is it quicker and easier than regular check-in?  Absolutely!  Also, keep in mind that if you check in on-line, the resort staff knows when to expect you.  This increases your chances of having your room available if you arrive before 3:00.

Hope this helps.  Have a magical vacation!

Meet the Panelist: Diane, Georgia

After spending 25 years in RI, my husband and I relocated to GA with our youngest, who is now in high school. I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
