Hey guys! My husband and I will be eating at house of blues one night and were hoping to hear some live music and drink a couple beers... Do you have to buy a ticket to see live music even if it's not a big name or do they offer some entertainment for free

    Hi there Shannon,

I absolutely LOVE House of Blues (HOB) and have had the pleasure of visiting several HOB locations around the country, Downtown Disney being my favorite...probably because I met my husband there for the first time 12 years ago! House of Blues normally offers free live music on the outdoor stage area but most of the "music hall" events are hard ticketed.  If you do find yourself at HOB, be sure to try out their all new menu.  It's all so yummy, especially the lobster mac and cheese.

I was just at Downtown Disney over this past weekend and noticed live music entertainment at restaurants all over the district as well as several performing in "the street" for all to enjoy.  That's one of the best things about Downtown Disney...it's truly a shopping and entertainment complex and offers something for everyone.

My husband, my daughter, and I enjoyed a delicious dinner at Raglan Road Irish Pub and the live entertainment was fabulous: An Irish duo and Irish dancers to boot.  On our way back to the car we stopped to listen to a solo vocalist with a keyboard playing ballads from the 70's.

So wherever you end up at Downtown Disney, I can guarantee that you'll have a great time with your husband!

    Best Wishes,

    Amanda F.
