Hey guys! I booked my first solo (I'm nervous) trip for Disney World at Christmas! I'm staying at Art of Animation. Do you know if I'm allowed to visit the other resorts right now? I wanted to see all the Christmas decorations!

    Hi Larrissa!

    Welcome to planDisney!

Firstly, please don't be nervous about your solo trip!!  I LOVE my solo trips! (ssshhhhh, don't tell my family).  You can run to your own schedule, do exactly what you want, sleep in, stay up late, sit by the pool,  enjoy attractions over and over, I could go on!  You will have so much fun.

Christmas is a wonderful time to visit Walt Disney World Resort.  It's one of my favourite times of the year there.  You can see all the exciting festive entertainment and activities that are planned for this year in this post on the Disney Parks Blog, beginning on November 6th.

The Christmas decorations are everywhere - at all the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and Disney Springs.  I thoroughly recommend the Christmas Tree Trail at Disney Springs, and wait until you step onto Main Street U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom Park!  There will be tears of joy!

Currently, it is not advised to visit any other Disney Resort hotels just to look around, but you can book yourself a dining reservation or two, to guarantee entry to any hotel!  Best of both worlds, you can enjoy all the decorations, and a lovely meal at the same time.   Reservations can be made 60 days in advance, either online, or by using My Disney Experience.

I wish you the best trip!  Please come back and ask us anything.  We are very happy to help you plan your magical vacation.
