hey there, we r going for our first time to wdw in january. i have heard that they usually offer free dinning just wondering if anyone out there knew if they did or not. We r going from 7to the 12th, was also wondering what exactly the photo pass. Thanks

    Hi Kayla!

Thank you for sending in your question to the Walt Disney World Moms Panel!

We don't really know what discounts Disney will release in the future, but if you wan to see what was released in the past and when, I suggest visiting the independent website MouseSavers.com.  There you can find a historical database of discounts that Disney has released.  Just keep in mind that just because Disney released a discount in the past, it doesn't mean that it will do so again in the future.

PhotoPass photographers are located throughout the park and will take pictures of you with their camera and, if asked, your camera.  There is no charge to have a photograph taken.  If you want to purchase one of the photographs taken by the photographer's camera, then you can purchase them online.  Something a lot of guests like to do is pre-order a PhotoPass CD.  For one price, the CD will have every photo taken of your party by a PhotoPass photographer.  It is a good deal if you get a lot of photos taken.  You should also consider a new service recently announced by Disney, PhotoPass +.  PhotoPass + is like pre-ordering a regular PhotoPass CD (because it is included) but also includes all of the attractions photos from those attractions that take photographs plus the normal photographs from select Disney Character Dining Experiences.  PhotoPass can be confusing, so please write back with more questions if I didn't answer your question!

By the way, since it is your first time, I recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It is a great book for fist time visitors as it is full of information but is not overwhelming.  It is also a beautiful book full of color photographs.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
