Hey, My first time in WDW and Im going in for the July 4th week. Im trying to book the dessert party for tthe 4th but it cant find anything avaiable. Is it all booked or maybe they just havent started booking yet? Ive called - not clear on why i cant book

    Hi Diana!

That happened to my family two years ago when we went for the July 4th weekend.  Things that you could normally book far in advance, couldn't be booked for July 4th.  In our case, we wanted to do a Wishes or Illuminations cruise and exactly what was available and the cost didn't come out until very late.  By the way, if this year is anything like it was two years ago, expect that the prices will be higher than normal for the special events on the 4th (and sometimes for the 3rd as well)!

As you can probably imagine, Walt Disney World is a very popular place on the 4th of July.  Be sure to use a good touring plan to minimize your wait in lines!  A lot of people offer touring plans, but my favorite are the ones created by the team who writes "The Unofficial Guide to Walt Disney World".  Their website is TouringPlans.com.  Their recommendations are based on a lot of math and years of data collection.  As an engineer, I'm a huge fan of their work!

Enjoy planning and write back if you have any more questions!
