    Hey! First time going to WDW. I'd like to know how the photographers know that we do have Memory Maker? Should we always ask for a photo or they will take random photos throughout the day?

    Hi Julia!

    Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

    You will see PhotoPass Photographers located all around Walt Disney World Resort, at the theme parks, at the water parks and Disney Springs, and sometimes at the Disney Resort hotels.  Anyone can join the line for a photo!  The photographers will not ask you if you have Memory Maker, but instead you will simply scan your MagicBand after the photos have been taken, and these will automatically appear in your My Disney Experience account.  Any of those lovely ride photos (you know, that moment when you are just about to scream!!) will usually appear in your account automatically.  The PhotoPass Photographers are often happy to take some extra photos using your own camera/phone too.  Memory Maker is such good value, providing unlimited downloads of all the photos.  If you do not opt to have Memory Maker you can still purchase and download individual photos, but it is much more cost-effective with the Memory Maker package.

    I thoroughly recommend visiting one of the Disney PhotoPass Service Studios (located at Disney Springs, Marketplace, or Magic Kingdom Park, Fantasyland).  You can have a selection of photos taken, with a choice of backdrops, which is a fun way for a private photo of your group with no-one else in the background!  These studios are included in the Memory Maker package.
