Hey everyone! Going on our first Disney cruise in September. The Disney Dream 4 night Bahamas cruise. Wondering how much spending money is needed while on the ship and what is not included in the cruise price, and when we will receive our luggage tags?

    Ahoy, Kristy!

You are in the home stretch with only about a month to go until you are lounging on the pool deck of the Disney Dream soaking in all the magic and wonder of this magnificent vessel.

You've asked some excellent planning questions about your upcoming vacation with Captain Mickey! Luggage tags normally arrive anywhere between two to four weeks prior to departure, so be watching your mailbox for magical mail any day now. Two luggage tags will arrive per Guest, and you'll only need to place the tags on the bags you plan to check with the porters at curbside.

There are many reasons my family loves cruising with Disney with one being all that is included in the cruise fare. We always plan for a few extras though and usually our largest onboard expenses come from our gratuities, Port Adventures, photos from Shutters, meals at the adult-only dining venues and souvenirs from the gift shops. You will also find that Guests like to indulge in spa and salon treatments, specialty and alcoholic beverages and tastings, the sports simulators, BINGO, makeovers at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, the Royal Court Royal Tea, laundry services, internet packages, decadent desserts and candy at Vanellope's Sweets and Treats, nursery hours for children under 3, a few offerings at the fitness center and hairbraiding.

All of these expenses will be charged to your Key to the World card, which will be linked to the credit card you added during Online Check-in. The only cash I bring is some small bills for tipping porters and room service attendants. The amount your family spends on extras is completely up to you, and I hope the list I provided above will give you a good idea of what to expect. You can keep up with your onboard balance on your stateroom TV or stopping by Guest Services for an itemized print out.

    Have a magical time!
