Hey there! Doing a split stay this coming October and planning on adding the Dining Plan for the second hotel. Will we have to go to the actual second hotel to check-in to activate our Dining Plan, or can it be done when we check-out from the first hotel?

    Bonjour Jean-Sébastien,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel and thank you for asking us a question. I love split stays at Walt Disney World Resort! For me, my choice of Disney Resort Hotel is the most important part of my vacation experience, but there are so many to choose from. That’s why I love choosing two different places to stay when I visit: it’s like two vacations in one!

From what I understand, your Disney Dining Plan entitlements associated with your second Resort’s Disney Resort Hotel Package should be available for you to use the morning that you’re scheduled to arrive, if you’ve already done Online Check-In.

That being said, in my experience there are some times when the changeover doesn’t happen as smoothly as it should, especially because any entitlements associated with your first Resort stay typically remain active until midnight of your check out day. I strongly recommend that you check with your first Resort’s Lobby Concierge to check on the status of your second reservation and its entitlements. They’ll be able to give you a full list of your options for activating your Disney Dining Plan for the second part of your vacation.

Please don’t hesitate to come back and see us if you have any other questions. Et n’oubliez pas que vous pouvez également nous poser des questions en français

    Have a Magical Day,
