Hey Disney Moms, I’m having this awful gut feeling that we might be a few minutes late to our dinner reservations due to the parade and fireworks at the Halloween party, do they assume your a no show if it’s less than 10 minutes?

Howdy, Kimberly! Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I’m so excited that you will be experiencing Mickey’s Halloween Party this year! Depending on where you are dining, I would plan to view the parade and the fireworks from an area where you can easily exit and quickly make it to your dining reservation. You shouldn’t have a problem showing up to the restaurant a few minutes late, but after large shows like the fireworks, it can be very difficult to navigate the park since large crowds of people are amassed in the same location. So allow for extra time to make it to the restaurant and, if possible, plan to leave just a bit before the end of the show to beat the rush.

If you are particularly concerned, I would give Disney Dining a call at (714) 781-3463 to see if they can modify your reservation to be slightly later. Then you won’t have to worry about rushing to your meal. Or perhaps consider moving your reservation to another night and plan to enjoy one of the many quick service restaurants in the park for dinner that night instead. There are lots of tasty options to choose from including the Jolly Holiday Bakery Café, Hungry Bear Restaurant, and French Market Restaurant.

I hope this helps. Have a spooktacular time at the Disneyland Resort!
