Welcome back to planDisney, Siobhan! It's great that you are bringing your questions to us. Keep them coming!
If you decide that the
dining plan you've added to your vacation package is no longer needed, you can usually remove it by
calling a friendly Cast Member at the resort. Please keep in mind that any changes made 30 days or less before your arrival date are subject to change fees. Be sure to refer to the
terms and conditions on the website.
Before you cancel, make sure you've run the numbers and considered your eating habits. Take a look at some of the
quick-service restaurants you'd like to experience and look at their menus online. This will give you an idea if it's worth it for you and your travel party. Also, keep in mind that some people love the dining plans because of their convenience. It makes their vacation to the
Walt Disney World Resort seem "all-inclusive" because most (if not all) meals are already paid for. Some people crunch the numbers to the cent to determine if they will find value in the savings, others place their value on the convenience of it, and others do both! You just have to figure out what's right for you.
Siobhan, no matter what you choose, I hope you have an amazing vacation at the resort. And since it looks like you're going to be there in September, be sure to follow along with
Disney Parks Blog to see if the
EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is taking place when you are there. It's my favorite festival and you won't want to miss it if it's being offered!
Please don't hesitate to
reach out directly to me if you have any other questions leading up to your trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth.
In every job that must be done, there is an element of fun,
Matt
