Welcome back aboard, Tatiana!
Oh boy! A Bahamian Cruise with
Marvel Day at Sea sounds absolutely MARVELous right now! I love the Disney Magic, and I’m certain you will say the same after five nights onboard for your very first cruise.
Hopefully you'll be able to leave your reservation intact and can enjoy
all of the MAGIC that is included in every Disney Cruise Line vacation. However, if you have to cancel for some reason, Disney spells out the cancellation fees in the
Cruise Contract Terms and Conditions. If you cancel 90 days or more before your departure date, it will be just the loss of your cruise deposit, and if you cancel within 90 days of your sailing, additional fees would apply (depending on the length of your cruise and your stateroom category). So you’ll need to make a decision on your cruise before your Payment in Full date arrives. If you miss making that final payment, then Disney Cruise Line will treat the reservation as canceled and keep any applicable cancellation fees.
One new program that may help you in this situation is
Cruise Date Flexibility for Guests who booked their cruises by October 31, 2020 for sailings through May 2021. This allows you to move your sail date up to 15 days prior to departure. Captain Mickey will allow you to change your vacation date to one in the future without losing your deposit or incurring additional fees if you do so at least 15 days before your reservation. If you can manage to make all your cruise payments, this may provide you with the flexibility you are needing.
I truly hope you can set sail in February, Tatiana! In the meantime, cruise back over to planDisney if you have additional questions. We are always happy to SEA you and help with your cruise planning from start to finish!
