Hi, Melissa!
Oh boy! You're Disney cruise is so soon, you can almost smell the fresh sea air, hear the sounds of deck parties, and taste the delicious meals in the themed dining rooms.
When my family sailed aboard the Disney Wonder this past Spring, we experienced a situation with check-in pending review similar to yours. In our case, one of our two staterooms cleared the check-in review rather quickly while the other room remained in the pending review state for several days. It happened to be the stateroom that had one child using a birth certificate and government-issued photo ID for travel documentation. My understanding is that it might take somewhat longer to verify certain types of less-common travel documentation. From this experience, I learned even more about the benefits of using a passport when cruising. I admit that I was feeling a little anxious as our sail date became closer and closer. So I understand your concern!
Though I can't speak for certain to your specific case, rest assured that those working behind the curtain for Disney Cruise Line are working hard to make sure everything is "practically perfect in every way" in time for you to enjoy your cruise. I appreciate the diligent and sometimes challenging work that is done on our behalf to help ensure that our boarding process as Guests will be a smooth as possible. I am hopeful that you will not have much longer to wait before you find that your documentation and check-in information reviews have been completed. As long as all of the information is up-to-date and compliant, you should not need to worry. If you'd like, you may give the Disney Cruise Line a call to confirm that your check-in data has been received and is moving along through the process.
Tony's Tip: Again, I can't speak to your specific situation. But if yours happens to be similar to my family's, you may feel free to do what I did. At the suggestion of a Cast Member from the Disney Cruise Line Help Center, I uploaded a new image of our child's birth certificate that was just a little bit less-than-perfect. That is, I used my mobile phone to take a basic photo of the document, including the actual creases and folds of the paper and a real-life "border" courtesy of our kitchen table underneath it, while making sure the text on the document was still clearly legible. I updated the Guest Information Form with this new image instead of the previously uploaded image which was flatter and cropped as captured by a document scanner. This suggestion is based on the idea that the more "real-life" image is simply easier to recognize as being real and valid.
Since you mentioned your cruise is on August 30th, I'm guessing that must mean you are scheduled to sail aboard the Disney Treasure. I'm so excited for you. My family is also looking forward to a vacation aboard the Treasure later this year. We can't wait to enjoy drinks in the Haunted Mansion Parlor, evening entertainment for adults in Sarabi, and the amazing live shows in the Walt Disney Theater. This is going to be an epic vacation!
I hope you have a magical time, Melissa!
