Hey! My bf and I are travelling to WDW from the 27th December to January 2nd. What do you reccomend us to do New Year's Eve??? Any parades extra fun? :) Thanks!

Hi Maria!  Sounds like a perfect vacation for best friends to be at Walt Disney World for the New Year celebration

My recommendation for New Years Eve for adults is to spend that time in EPCOT.  It is a fun place to be and the World Showcase is alive and happy with each country counting down for their own time zones.

For something special you can also try to get reservations for the new dinner celebration at La hacienda San Angel restaurant in the Mexico area of the World Showcase.  It will be a six course menu and includes a glass of champagne.  The menu packages are $225 a person with alcohol pairing and $199 without the alcohol pairing.  Live entertainment seating begins at 9pm.  For reservations please call as soon as possible at 407-842-1107.

The Magic Kingdom is also offering a Fireworks Dessert Party on 12/30 at 7:30pm and 10:50pm and on 12/31 at 10:30pm.  This is a self serve buffet of fabulous sweet treats with a great view of the fireworks. There will be non-alcoholic beverage to toast in the New Year.  Adult cost is $39.99 a person.

On December 31 there is also a new offering that is a Dinner and Dessert Party in the Magic Kingdom.  There will be great food stations located throughout the Tomorrowland Terrace where you can graze to your hearts desire followed by the many great desserts.  Check-in begins at 6:15pm and the cost for adult is $155.99 per person. Reservations can be made by calling 407-939-3463.

Hopefully you can get a reservation for one of these new great offerings at both parks.  It will be festive no matter where you find yourself but remember that on these special holidays the parks can close early to capacity so be sure and get in before that happens!
