Hey! What is the best way to plan for my disney world vacation? Should I make an itinerary? If so how? What type of guidebooks do you recommend? Also what are some things to do with my teens. Thanks! =)

Hi Frank!  I definitely recommend making at least a rough draft of your plans.  If you'd like to eat at any particular table service restaurants, you should consider making advanced dining reservations.  I usually start my itinerary with my meal choices first, then get reservations, and plan from there.

Take into account what type of tickets you have (if you have park hoppers, you may choose to go to more than one park in a day), as well as what parks you want to visit.  Leave a little free time so that you can either relax at your resort, or add something else later.

For my family, planning is half the fun of the trip.  I like the Unofficial Guide to  Walt Disney World, the Passporter, and the Complete Idiot's Guide to Walt Disney World.

As for your teens, there is loads for them to do.  Many teens enjoy the thrill rides, and as a teen I always loved the World Showcase (and still do!).

    Have fun!
