Hey Bernie! You have been so helpful to me - thank you! Ok - in regards to the Wild Africa Trek: is this like a canopy tour? I am picturing obstacles, some bridges, and zip line? I have two very outdoorsy boys (8 & 11) and this sounds perfect. Th

    Hi Danelle!

Thank you for sending me this question directly!  I love the Wild Africa Trek and I was fortunate enough to do the very first public offering of it.  It's a lot of fun and I think your boys will absolutely love it.  If you do, I suggest doing the very first tour in the morning if you can!  The first quarter of the tour takes place in the park where other guests can go and it just feels more authentic when the park is empty.  The best part of the Wild Africa Trek happens in the middle when you are "backstage".

There are bridges and the opportunity to look down on various animals, such as hippos and crocodiles, while being tied to a safety harness.  For example, basically you can lean and peer over a drop off to the crocodiles below.  The bridges are rope bridges with wooden planks, and some of the planks are "missing".  Your boys will almost certainly love it if they are adventurous.

However, there is no zip line component of the trek.  It's all basically walking or riding in a special safari truck, which occurs during the last part of the tour.  That said, I highly recommend it for all guests!  It is a great experience.

I hope this helps!  Please write back with more questions!
