Hey Bernie! 38 days until WDW!! I have a travel question. We have ADR @ CM @ 7:30 am then going to MK for day. DH and 6 kids, Should we drive or take the bus? Then ADR at TH @ 8am same question. Worried parks lots won't be open in time for our ADR's.

    Hi Debbie!

Thank you for sending me this question directly.

For your breakfast at Chef Mickey's, I suggest that you drive straight to the Contemporary Resort and park there.  When you get to the Contemporary's parking lot, tell the Disney Cast Member that you are there for breakfast and be sure to have your confirmation number with you in case they want to check it.  If it is expected to be a busy day at Walt Disney World, then you might be given a limited parking pass.  Otherwise, you'll just be waved in and you can park anywhere in the self parking area.

For your breakfast at Tusker House, I definitely recommend taking Disney transportation.  Yes, it is early in the morning and Disney transportation can be troublesome that early, but driving yourself or taking a taxi to Disney's Animal Kingdom early in the morning is more problematic.  I know because I have been stuck outside the parking lot a couple of times in the past year waiting to get in!  Once I drove myself and once I was in a taxi.  For some reason, Disney doesn't open the parking lot to that theme park very early (unlike the other theme parks).

Chef Mickey's and Tusker House are both great ways to start off a day at Walt Disney World.  Be sure to bring your camera to both!  Please write back if you have any more questions!
