HEY ARI!, Thanks very much for answering my quest about Halloween :) I was just wondering about the art of starting and hunting down pins from the parks and where to pick up new ones?

It is funny you should ask. I was never a fan of Disney pins and pin trading. Sure there were a few cool pins but nothing that I was willing to pay for. Then my kids began collecting them. At first I took no interest, then I found myself looking at the wide variety and assortment of pins. The firs few times we visited the parks I would buy them each a pin to add to their lanyards. They range from Princesses to park attractions to Pixar characters and so much more. I watched intently as my daughter's carefully inspected pins before my girls and other park guests talk about their favorite pins while waiting in line for Pirates of the Caribbean. At that point I began to think of what pin I would want as my first purchase. I must admit that I had received some over the past year as presents and the like but I had never worn them (although they were kind of cool). As I was passing through the entrance of the all new Disney California Adventure, I walked past a new shop called Oswalds. Right there in front of me I saw the first Disney pin I have ever purchased for myself. My Oswald the lucky rabbit pin is just the most awesome thing ever. I was so proud of it that I purchased a lanyard and now proudly display my Disney pins. I would begin your pin adventure by finding the pin that you can say started your whole collection. Since almost all of the shops in the parks carry pins, you should have no trouble getting started. Have a magical vacation and I will see you at the parks.
