Hey, can anyone inform me please as to whether Fort Wilderness ranch is open on a Sunday/what times, also if the carriage rides & outdoor movie with chip & dale takes place? Do you have to be a FW guest?

Hi Shellie! Thanks for contacting us to get your answers to your questions. I will be heading to Fort Wilderness within a month for a three month stay so I am very knowledgeable about this resort.

Carriage Rides take place seven days a week, 365 days of the year unless weather is bad and then they will not go out. Reservations are recommended but not always necessary. Tri-Circle-D Ranch is also open every day and you can book horseback rides for the older children and if you have younger ones they can enjoy a pony ride. One of my favorite things to do while we are there is to take a long walk to the Wilderness Lodge and then stop in at the stables to visit some of the great working horses of Disney. These are the ones you will see in the parades or on Main Street of the Magic Kingdom.

Trail rides begin around 8am and end around 3:30pm. The stables are open most of the day and evening unless they are cleaning or working on something. The pony rides and that part of the ranch will close at 5pm.

Chip 'n' Dale's Campfire Singalong is also held nightly in Fort Wilderness. Again only if bad weather is overhead will it be canceled. All of these activities are open to all guests whether you are staying at a Disney resort or not. Parking for visitors is located at the front of the resort. To reach the main stables or pony rides and the campfire area you will need to park and then hop on one of the internal buses. The drivers will assist you as to where you need to get off for the activity you choose. Enjoy!
