Hey Angelo!Quick trans. question- in order to see the opening ceremony at MK what time should we be on the boat from the Wilderness Lodge? MK opens at 9am that morning with no EMH. Is the boat the quickest way? Thanks again!!

    Hi Jennifer!

The Disney site states that the transportation system starts running to and from the parks one hour before the parks open but there are earlier launches which go to Magic Kingdom. I checked various resources and the earliest way to get to Magic Kingdom besides driving is to take the Blue Water Launches which operate from 6:45 in the morning until 11:30 at night and run from Wilderness Lodge to Fort Wilderness to the Contemporary back to Wilderness Lodge. I would make sure that if you want to get to the opening ceremony, you need to get to the dock as soon as possible because the launches do take a decent amount of time to return. You will also need to walk from the Contemporary Resort to Magic Kingdom. It's not far, but if you allow time, it can be much more pleasant than running through the resort trying to make the reservation.

My best advice would be to talk to the concierge when you arrive and verify the quickest way to get there. Walt Disney World is always tweaking the transportation system to make everything run smoothly so, they may know of a faster route. Oh and Jennifer, if you arrive early enough at the opening ceremony, make sure to talk to the cast members and be very excited! You never know what kind of Pixie Dust may come you way!!! Your trip is not too far away now I'm getting excited for you!!! Have a Magical Time at the Walt Disney World Resort! Thanks so much for asking the Moms Panel!
