Hey Andrea, just got home from 10-day stay @ WLV. Checked in very late. Got last room facing bus stop on 4th floor. Did online check in. How to avoid this next time as WLV has no variation in points per view. Want to face bay or woods, not parking. Thanks!

    Hi, Laurie!

When I want to ensure that a specific location request is on file with Disney Vacation Club, I call Member Services and ask them to include my request when booking. Just to be sure that that request is still there, I'll check on it the next time I call (and it usually is there on my reservation.)

Unfortunately, this is not something that can be guaranteed; however, Cast Members will absolutely do their very best to make you happy with every aspect of your stay, including the location of your room. We also always utilize online check-in (what a treat!), and I would suggest that you double-check with the Cast Member when you pick up your Welcome Home Packet if your room request has been noted.

Again, it's never a guarantee, but if your preference is available, Cast Members will always try to accommodate you.

Lastly, although this is a bit of a bother to do, because you had such a nice, long stay at Wilderness Lodge Villas this time, consider asking if another room becomes available during your stay (say, in a day or two) if you could be moved. When we've asked in the past about this, another room has either been available if I chose to wait to check-in (this was early in the day) later or, on another occasion, a day later. We just didn't unpack that first night, and moved our bags to the new, preferred location the next day, spending the majority of our vacation in a perfect setting.

I hope these suggestions are helpful for you! Please send any additional questions you may have as you plan your next stay using your Disney Vacation Club Membership; I'd love to help!
