Hey, Richard!
Time out for a little "happy dance" -- you WON an all-expense paid cruise aboard the Disney Dream!!! Yaaaaa-whooooo!
OK...I think I've calmed down enough to answer your question. I actually have taken a complimentary cruise where all the expenses (including gratuities) were paid in advance. (The
only thing better than a Disney Cruise is one where someone else is picking up the tab, right?!) The pre-paid gratuities are based on the
Gratuities Chart on the DisneyCruise.com site. Therefore, after reviewing the chart, if you find the service you experience above and beyond your expectations, feel free to pad that envelope with extra cash.
You will receive receipts for the prepaid gratuities and envelopes for each of the suggested cast/crew members. You will tuck their receipts inside the corresponding envelopes and present them on the last evening of the cruise or on the morning of disembarkation. You can also charge additional gratuities on the last evening of your cruise to your shipboard account by dropping by Guest Services. In addition, I've also heard of guests putting little extras in envelopes such as gift cards.
I hope this helps you plan. Have a wonderful day and a magical vacation. Bon voyage!
